If you are a MMA fan and you live within 300 miles of Mansfield, Ohio, you and your friends may want to go ahead and reserve your seats right now for RFO: “Big Guns 17.”  This event will be held on Saturday October, 17th in Mansfield, Ohio and from the looks of it, this is going to be a good one.  Promoter Matt Truckovich was not exaggerating a few months ago when he promised everyone that “Big Guns 17” was going to be a MMA event that you will not want to miss.

If you have been keeping up with many of the fighters from Ohio and surrounding States over the past year and half or so, you’ll understand why Big Guns 17 may very well be featuring some of the most exciting pro and amateur MMA match-ups that anyone has seen in the region in a long time. Originally, the main event was going to be a match between Cody Stevens from Mansfield, Oh and Terrell Hobbs from Petersburg, Va, but Stevens suffered an injury during one of his training sessions for this fight and will not be able fight.

But as far as the kind of MMA fighters and the kind of topnotch regional MMA completion is concerned, nothing else has change.

Big Guns 17 will be featuring a very interesting line up of professional and amateur fighters.  We are talking about amateur fighters who will be stepping into the cage for the first time, to professional fighters who will be looking to add another W to a long string of wins that they have put together over the past couple of years.  Many of these fighters will also be stepping into the cage with a very strong background in at least one or two other combat sports like, boxing, wrestling, karate, judo, jujitsu and kickboxing.  No matter how many times you have seen or heard about how any of them have won or lost in the past, you still won’t be able to tell how they will win or lose this time. Many of the fighters were chosen for this event because they have become much better MMA fighters over the past year. You have to be there to see it.
