Ohio native Lance Palmer (4-0) is ready to make his return to the cage, as he is set to take on UFC and WEC veteran Fredson Paixao (10-4) this Friday at RFA 4 in Las Vegas. The bout will be part of the RFA 4 main card, which is set to air live on AXS TV in the U.S.
Most recently, the four-time All-American and four-time Ohio state wrestling champion competed in Columbus at UVC 20, where he became the UVC featherweight champion with a unanimous decision victory over Jon Washington. The Team Alpha Male member has earned two submissions in four bouts and is one of MMA’s top prospects.
Paixao will compete for the first time since 2010, where he lost via knockout to Pablo Garza in his only UFC appearance. Prior to that, the jiu-jitsu black belt compiled a 2-1 record with one no contest while competing for the UFC-owned WEC in 2009 and 2010.
RFA 4 features a main event between UFC veterans Tyson Griffin and Efrain Escudero and also features notables Chidi Njokuani, James Krause, and Sergio Pettis.
