Travis Clark (6-1) will return to 205 pounds to face Dan Spohn (6-3) in the new headliner, as NAAFS matchmaker Nichole Castillo announced earlier via her Twitter account. Clark’s original opponent Nick Kraus (6-2) will likely be offered a spot on a later NAAFS card, according to a source close to the event.
Clark is a former NAAFS middleweight champion, and he comes into the bout looking to bounce back from the first loss of his career after suffering an upset loss to Hector Urbina in April that cost him his title. He has finished five of his six pro bouts, including four via knockout or TKO.
Spohn comes in riding a three-fight losing streak, including back-to-back split decision losses inside the Bellator cage and a submission loss to Josh Stansbury at Bellator 71 in June that cost him his NAAFS title. Now living and training in Central Ohio, Spohn looks to get back on track with a win over Clark.
“NAAFS: Caged Fury 20″ takes place on Nov. 10 at the Columbus Convention Center in Downtown Columbus.
