An intriguing middleweight matchup has been added to next month’s Bellator 78 event in Dayton, as Cincinnati product Jared Combs (8-2, 0-0 BFC) will welcome unbeaten Danish prospect Mikkel Parlo (8-0, 0-0 BFC) to the United States for the first time.

Combs represents Son of Siam and has finished all eight of his victories inside the cage. Most recently, he dropped a bout to fellow Bellator signee Jason Butcher at Spartan FC 11 in January. Prior to that, Combs had racked up six consecutive victories dating to 2009. A veteran fighter, Combs has competed for MMA Big Show, Absolute Action MMA, and Spartan FC in his 15-fight amateur and professional careers.

Parlo makes his U.S. and Bellator debuts and comes in having knocked out his last two opponents. Of his eight career victories, six have come via knockout or TKO, although he has never competed outside of his native Denmark in mixed martial arts competition.

Bellator 78 is slated to take place on October 26 at the Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University in Dayton.
