CTF Promotions held its second event last night in Akron, as “Caged Thunder II” featured an all amateur card and some notable victors on the night. The results were first reported by Stand Them Up.

Making his first appearance at 145 pounds since last year after a late opponent switch, Cody Garbrandt (6-2) bounced back from a February knockout loss by picking up a knockout of his own over veteran fighter Clint Musselman (5-4). The 21-year-old has competed in both boxing and MMA over the past year and appears to be back on the right track after this win.

In the main event, heavyweight Curt Lemmon (6-0) stayed unbeaten as he picked up a first round TKO victory over Nick Kohr (3-1). All six of Lemmon’s victories have been via stoppage, and this is the fifth fight he’s finished with strikes in six outings.

Lightweight Daniel Coffman (4-1) bounced back from his first career loss, as he handed Dan Doverspike (3-1) his first loss with a rear naked choke in the first round. Also, Tyler Lafferty (4-1) bounced back from his first loss with a rear naked choke victory of his own over Tyree Johnson (2-5).
