(PRESS RELEASE) Cleveland, OH: The Midwest’s premier mixed martial arts promotion, the North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS), will soon be available on Canada’s popular combat sports television channel, the “Fight Network”.
Widely regarded as one of the sports most respected regional promotions, the NAAFS has become known for developing some of MMA’s best young talent, while delivering an entertaining show to its loyal and cult-like fan base. What was once considered a hidden gem based in the heart of Ohio, the NAAFS is now spreading like wild fire with fighters and fans alike taking notice from across North America. The NAAFS has been featured on regional cable television (Sports Time Ohio) for nearly five years, but will now give fight fans north of the border a chance to witness firsthand what has made the NAAFS become one of the most respected MMA promotions in the sport today. While originally focusing on developing what some experts feel is the most competitive amateur series in MMA, the NAAFS has evolved over time into a breeding ground for the next generation of high level professional and amateur fighters alike.
NAAFS president and CEO Greg Kalikas had the following comments: “It’s a great honor for us to be on such a prestigious network. It’s going to be a great opportunity for our fighters to showcase their talent to a broader audience. Canadian fight fans are very knowledgeable and we’re eager to see what type of response we receive from fans that are new to the NAAFS. I’m confident they will not be disappointed.”
Fight Network is Canada’s only TV channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, including fights, fighters, fight news and fight lifestyle. The channel is carried nationally on all major cable, satellite and telco systems in Canada. Fight Network is available on multiple platforms including TV, web, mobile and radio.
Although a debut date has not been confirmed as of yet, Fight Network viewers can expect to see the NAAFS’ debut in the fall of 2012.
