American MMA Championships returns to Southwestern Ohio this weekend, as American MMA Series 1 is set to go down at The Farm in Hamiltion, Ohio just outside of Cincinnati.

The event features multiple fighters who were part of the American MMA Ohio Championships earlier this year, including Cortez Phelia (5-4) and Adam Roll (3-5).

Phelia, fresh off of his runner-up finish in the AMMAC flyweight division to David Blattman, will look to get back on the winning track as he takes on Kentucky’s David Ward (6-9), who has won two of his past three.

Roll will square off with Sensei Robertson (3-5), who looks to move one step closer to .500 with his third straight win.

Other notable bouts include Portland Pringle (5-2) vs. Steven Newell (3-1), Renje Loving (4-0) vs. Matthew Reilman (3-1), and Donny Korbel (4-4) vs. Jerrick Boykin (2-2).
