Yet another top-notch bout has been added to next week’s “UVC 20: Clash at the Coliseum” in Columbus, as Shane Holbert (6-1) will square off with Muhammad Abdullah (8-4) for the organization’s middleweight title.
Holbert, who won the middleweight state title earlier this year, comes in riding a four-fight winning streak. His last three bouts have all ended inside the first round, with the last two coming in 30 and 15 seconds, respectively. The well-rounded fighter also boasts 11- and 43-second finishes on his record.
He’ll take on Abdullah, a member of the Dayton branch of Vision MMA, who comes in riding a five-fight winning streak of his own. The 26-year-old has finished six of his victories via stoppage, all of which have come via knockout.
Holbert and Abdullah will be battling for the title left vacant by Matt Lanning (1-0 pro), who turned pro last year and is expected to also be part of the card in professional action.
