A professional featherweight bout has been added to the lineup for next month’s “Rock N Rumble 6″ card, as Mark Cherico (1-0) will make his second pro appearance against Jason Lawrence (1-0) as part of the NAAFS card in Cleveland.
Cherico comes in after a 56-second victory via his patented rear naked choke at “Caged Fury 17″ in April, and he looks to stay unbeaten as a pro after making the jump following his NAAFS amateur featherweight title victory last November. A member of Fight Club Pittsburgh, “The Pride of Bloomfield” has become one of the most popular fighters in the NAAFS in his short time with the organization.
Cherico steps in against the 36-year-old Lawrence, who will make his first appearance in the cage since 2010. The Erie, Pennsylvania native earned a submission victory over Harley Leimbach in his most recent outing.
“Rock N Rumble 6″ will be headlined by a women’s flyweight bout between Jessica Eye and Angela Magana. The event takes place at Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland.
