It appears as though the No. 1 middleweight in the NAAFS rankings has his next matchup.

Penn Hills MMA product John Antanitis (8-3) is expected to venture back to Cleveland next month for a scrap with Brad “Kat Smasher” Orsbone (4-1) as part of the amateur portion of the “Rock N Rumble 6″ card.

Antanitis broke onto the scene when he completely choked out 2011 NAAFS runner-up Steve Burton at last month’s “Fight Nite in the Flats 8″ card, a victory that immediately shot him to the top of the inaugural 2012 rankings. After taking more than a year off and not competing at all in 2011, Antanitis has reeled off three straight victories in 2012 over John Burbol, Burton, and Jordan Batt.

Orsbone will make his first NAAFS appearance since 2010, when he made a victorious debut over Brian Hilliard at “Caged Vengeance 7.” He has competed just once in the past year, a victory in his middleweight debut against Steven Bell in November.

“Rock N Rumble 6″ will be headlined by a women’s flyweight matchup between fan favorite Jessica Eye and Angela Magana. The event takes place on August 17 at Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland.
