NAAFS welterweight champion Kyle “Alley Cat” Baker (10-6) has been forced to pull out of his main event bout against Chris “The Cleveland Assassin” Lozano (9-3) at “Fight Nite in the Flats 8″ due to a back injury, so stepping in will be James “The Unbreakable Heavy Hitter” Warfield (22-10).
Both fighters come in looking to snap losing streaks, as Lozano has dropped two in a row while Warfield is on a three-fight skid.
Originally slated to take on UFC veteran Jason Dent on the card at lightweight, Warfield will now move up to welterweight for the bout with Lozano. Having competed as high as heavyweight in the past, Warfield has finished all 22 of his victories, including 15 knockouts.
Lozano’s two-fight skid came in Bellator, as he dropped bouts to Douglas Lima and Karl Amoussou. Prior to those two losses, he was 9-1 with seven knockouts. A fan favorite in Cleveland, Lozano is also likely to have the crowd on his side.
“Fight Nite in the Flats 8″ is slated for Saturday at the Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio.
