Brandon Saling (8-6) still can’t fight in Ohio.
But that doesn’t mean that he won’t be fighting. The fighter told MMAjunkie.com that despite Ohio upholding a suspension on his license, he plans to fight in states that will license him.
Saling’s suspension came after his March TKO loss to Roger Bowling at at Strikeforce event, where his tattoos were visible to a nationwide viewing audience and it also came to light that he committed a sex crime when he was 18. Saling said that despite what some people may believe, he is not a part of any white supremacy or Neo-Nazi hate groups that some people have tried to link him to.
The actual suspension came as a result of Saling marking “no” to a question of whether he had ever been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic offense.
The Ohio Athletic Commission voted 3-0 to uphold the suspension, and Saling will not be allowed to re-apply for a license in the state until April 11, 2013.
