Parma Heights’ Tiawan Howard (9-8) is set to return to the cage on March 30, as “The Iron Dragon” will take on undefeated Russian prospect Andrey Koreshkov (8-0) at Bellator 63 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Howard comes in having split his last four bouts with a 2-2 record, and his most recent outing was a unanimous decision loss to veteran Matt Lee at a Massachusetts regional event in November. Howard does, however, hold victories over Bellator veteran Eric Moon and UFC veteran Alex Karalexis in that stint.
Koreshkov comes in representing the same RusFighters Sport Club team that spawned two-time Bellator tournament champion Alexander Shlemenko, and he has finished all eight of his opponents, including six inside the first round.
Bellator 63 features the quarterfinals of the organization’s season six welterweight tournament and will be headlined by a bout between Cleveland’s Chris Lozano and Karl Amoussou.
