In our second GatewayMMA.com poll question, the results are in.

Our question this week was: “Which Ohio-based fighter should be the next to sign with a major organization?,” and the results were clear.

With almost exactly 50 percent of the vote, Cody “The Wolverine” Stevens (8-2) is the winner of the poll. Despite the fact that he is coming off of a loss in his last fight, Stevens remains one of the best prospects in the state with one of the highest upsides.

Coming in second in the poll with 21 percent of the vote, Toledo product Jake Grigson (4-0) actually may be the first fighter from the poll to sign with a major organization, as we reported last week that he is expected to be part of the Bellator 51 card in Canton on September 24.

The third place finisher was Nick Duell (8-2) with 16 percent, but he received a setback on Saturday as he was TKO’d by Kyle Baker at “NAAFS: Rock N Rumble 5″ in Cleveland.

Here are the full results from the poll:

1. Cody Stevens (50%)

2. Jake Grigson (21%)

3. Nick Duell (16%)

4. Travis Clark (7%)

5. Matt Masterson (4%)

6. Chris Bennett (2%)
