Purgatory Championship Fights will head to its hometown in Toledo, Ohio this weekend, and it promises to be a great event.
Two promising undefeated pros who competed at PCF 1 will return looking to go 2-0 in the organization.
Light heavyweight Tyler Beckley (2-0) will look to pick up his third consecutive first round submission victory, as the Findlay, Ohio native takes on King of the Cage and Ring of Combat veteran Steve Durig (2-3-1). Durig is on a two-fight losing streak, but those loses have come to Elijah Garshnick and Ariel Sepulveda.
The other undefeated pro is featherweight Matt Montalvo (2-0). The Bryan, Ohio native will also be looking to pick up his third consecutive submission victory when he takes on Jeremy Myers (1-1). Myers is looking to capitalize on his first pro win after going 10-2 as an amateur, including a win over Isaiah Chapman.
And finally, amateur “Suga” Joe Maiani (11-4) will also be in action on the card. One of the most active fighters in the Midwest, Maiani is also slated to compete two weeks later at OFC in Columbus, where he will defend his lightweight title. The 36-year-old spoke with us a couple of weeks ago regarding his future in the sport and when he plans to turn pro.
